After receiving her Master’s in Education from Antioch in Seattle, Heather moved to San Juan Island in 2007, teaching kindergarten and then second grade for ten years. She then taught adults meditation and art therapy, as well as becoming an affiliated counselor before joining St. David’s Day School in 2021. She enjoys her time on the island with walks, painting, community theatre, and gardening. She lives gratefully with her long-time partner, David, and their dog, Mendel.

Summer Groseclose
Administration
I am dedicated to ensuring a warm, organized, and welcoming environment for our families, staff, and little learners. Since joining the preschool, I have enjoyed supporting our team in creating a nurturing space where children can grow and thrive.
Having been part of the island community since 2017, I value the connections and relationships built within our local area, especially through our wonderful preschool and my involvement in the church community. I take pride in assisting families with their needs and ensuring that the preschool operates smoothly so that our educators can focus on what they do best—caring for and teaching our children.
I am grateful to be part of such a special place and look forward to continuing to serve our preschool families!
